A ministry focused; creative thought leader describes the mindset of Rev. Keith Butler. A native of Miami, FL, he began his preaching journey at the age of 15 years old, at the New Shiloh M. B. Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. Arthur Jackson, Jr.
It was there, Rev. Butler furthered his commitment to God by connecting with and participating in church activities, as well as the Florida East Coast Baptist Association, and Florida General Baptist State Convention.
Rev. Butler was licensed to preach on December 4, 1988, and was ordained on December 27, 1998. Since that time, he has honed his pastoral leadership skills to manage organizational development and build strong strategic community partnerships.
He currently serves as the Pastor of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida and the Founding Pastor of Logos Baptist Church in Miami Gardens, FL.
He has grown this congregation to over 600 followers and has built an edifice to enhance their community impact.
Logos Church serves groceries weekly to over 500 families and attends to families of terminally ill children who are housed at the Ronald McDonald House.
Logos has also adopted 50 foster kids to provide school clothing and toys for Christmas.
It is with that strong leadership and vision that he brings to Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church and to the Tampa community.
Rev. Butler is also internationally known for his creative approach to scripture which has opened many opportunities for him to minister in the state and national conventions.
He has received numerous proclamations from Miami-Dade County as well as the City of Miami Gardens and an acknowledgment from President Barack Obama for community service and pastoral service.
Rev. Butler is married to the former Chiquita Thomas, and they are the proud parents of 3 young men, Keith Jr., Khalil, and Ellis
and 2 young ladies Joanne and Shannon.
